Brewed in honor of the 1000th batch at our original Clybourn brewpub. A liquid as dark and dense as a black hole with thick foam the color of a bourbon barrel. The nose is an intense mix of charred oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. One sip has more flavor than your average case of beer.
2015 was the infamous "infected batch" of Bourbon County where Goose Island offered refunds to their consumers.
Infected batches were dated: Oct 9, 12, 21, 22, 23, 26, 30 & Nov 4, 5
We were fortunate enough to receive a drinkable batch dated Oct 20 as shown in the picture. Be one of the few to enjoy this rare non-infected liquid gold.
